Cholesterol Related Diseases

for those who are only beginning to take interest in a low cholesterol diet, welcome to the world of health!!! America is becoming more and more packed with obese and unfit people. Why could this be? It is because of the growing fast food industry that although others are becoming more and more concerned for their physical well-being, more and more people are becoming obese. But not only do carelessly eaten food cause weight gain, but it also increases the amount of cholesterol which leads to many fatal diseases and illnesses. Just to scare you into taking a better interest in always having a balanced and healthy diet, here is a short list of just a few illnesses that are caused by having high cholesterol levels.

High blood pressure and hypertension (deeply associated with obesity), high blood cholesterol (of course), congestive heart failure (heart muscles are weakened and lose the ability to pump blood), diabetes, heart disease (attacks, failure, death, angina or pain etc), stroke (there is a strong correlation between obesity, high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure), gallstones, gout and osteoarthritis (especially in female and more often in the knees)… . Overwhelming right? Decide to eat right yet?
